Ok, so THE NEW Interpol's album is out, apparently. First five tracks are kind of easily digestible (for me, that is), the other five are more of an acquired taste (read: growers).
I didn't know they released Barricade in August (I was out of touch with those things), but when I heard it, it did scream "RADIO FRIENDLY POTENTIAL SINGLE MATERIAL", so there. No surprises.
And this is what I tweeted after the first full listen, which pretty much sums up my opinion, neatly and with a bow on top:
Interpol self-titled made me giddy at first, then unexpectedly kicked my kidneys and left me weeping in a ditch. Just the way I like it.
I have issues.
